This year my Family and the McFarland Family decided to change up our beach trip. We have traveled to Downtown Destin for many many years, but we have outgrown our usual condo. We tried renting two condos side by side and were not happy with the results. It is just not the same when we are not all under one roof. We ventured out and east down the coastline this year to Grayton Beach. Here we were able to find a wonderful six bedroom house on the beach. Finally we were all together again with room to spread out. . . . and we LOVED it. I'm not sure if we will do the condo thing ever again as long as this group is together. This house was perfect for us with lots of room, seating, and deck space. We are so so thankful to our families for making it a priority to travel together. We made many memories, had special moments, and enjoyed lots of laughter on our trip. I hope you can enjoy some of our time through the pictures.

T's Wedding

June 22, 2013

My cousin, T., was remarried this summer at a vineyard near his hometown. We attended the wedding on our way to the beach. The vineyard was a beautiful setting with the ceremony under a tree, but surrounded by the rows of vines. Also, down the drive from the ceremony tree you could see the rooftop and steeple of an old church. The sunset was gorgeous and cast many muted colors around the wedding party. T. and Ashley exchanged some very personal vows which made the ceremony as intimate as it was beautiful. I am so glad we were able to take a slight detour on our beach route and celebrate the evening with them.

Today we enjoyed field day at Max's school. The kids got to participate in relay races, and individual race, team cage ball, jumpy houses and slides, and much more. It was a day full of sun, fun, and friends.

Micah's First Birthday

Today we were excited to celebrate the caboose of the Cooper Family. Little Miss Micah turned ONE! We all enjoyed a cookout and birthday cake at the Cooper's house. The kids loved running and playing all afternoon in the yard. Micah was super sweet as she tasted and licked the icing off her chubby little fingers. We are so blessed to have her in our lives!

Kindergarten Graduation

Wow! The time has come, Kindergarten is over. Sad moment for this Mommy. Where has the time gone? As a dear friend once told me,. if they don't grow up then something is unhealthy and wrong with them. That statement is true and I am so thankful he is a healthy growing boy, but does it have to happen so fast!? We have had an excellent year in Kindergarten. We were blessed with a wonderful teacher that means the world to our family. I will forever be thankful to how "Mrs. Miller" has shaped Max this year. But I have to admit, that I am glad she can return to our friend, Ms. Shannon, and not our teacher. Good-bye Kindergarten, look out First Grade!
