Lightining Bug Catching

June 17, 2009 We spent Tuesday evening in the yard at dusk. Max had his net and bug container catching lightining bugs. He loves how they "blink". He caught 4 and put them in the container. They came inside for awhile to visit with Max. He was convinced they were going to sleep with him. (Just FYI, Jay is out of town . . which means Max is sleeping with me . .get it? The bugs were going to sleep with US, not just him.) Finally, I convinced him to let them back outside to go to bed iwth their Mamas. Whew! Close call on that one!

Last Day of Swimming

June 16, 2009

Tonight was Max's last swimming lesson for the summer. We will start back in the fall. Since he started in January he has learned to swim to the wall, hold his breath, swim while taking 3 breaths, swim with a noodle, jump in the deep end and get to the wall, back stroke, climb out of the pool, hang on the the side and crawl to the steps, and come down the slide. He has done a GREAT JOB!

7 Weeks

June 16, 2009

Watch us G-RR-OOO-WWWW! We turned 7 weeks on Sunday and started taking pictures of the ultimate belly growth. If you've see the pictures of my belly with Max you know it is true. It gets to be pretty (well not pretty in the beauty sense) unbeliveable! So here we go on this adventure together!

Playing with Friends

June 15, 2009

Jay has been traveling quite a bit lately so this weekend we relaxed and played! Max enjoyed playing with culdesac buddies in his pool on the deck. Quickly the pool turned into a mud bath when they decided to pour water down the slide. Then they slid down into the mud puddle and rinsed off in the pool each time before they went down again. It was great fun to watch. The yard didn't appreciate it, but I guess it was worth the laughter. On Saturday night Carter and Emerson spent the night with us. Amanda and Clay were still out of the country, so we tried to help them out with a sleep over at our house. Whew! Three kidos will wear you out. They played inside, outside, in the pool, in the bonus room, in the culdesac, down 'Cherry Hill Lane', and everywhere in between. Sunday afternoon was spent relaxing at the Kelley's by the pool. Max and cuz Tristan jumped and swam all evening. It was nice to be lazy for a few hours before we had to hit the ground Monday with another trip week for Jay.
