Blogging and Praying that I never forget these days . . . .

6 Months

Six months old today!
Max wanted in on the birthday pictures!
mKate is 1/2 a year old today.  Wow!  She has really accomplished some big things this month.  She has tackled rolling over, sitting up, and is beginning to scoot backwards.  She also now sings "ahh yaa yaa" on a regular basis when she is not cackling and giggling at Big Bro Max.  She started the month on only breastmilk and has now added rice cereal, green beans, sweet potatoes, and squash to her menu.  I don't think she "likes" any of them, but she allows us to spoon it towards her.  When she has had enough she motorboats it all back at us.  Oh, yea, at the beach she learned to sip water dropped from a straw.  Busy Month.  Max is very proud of her!  Yesterday we were taking a neighborhood walk and someone asked how old he was, He replied "She's 6 mo!" He didn't even catch on that they were complimenting his "scootering" ability and questioning his age.  He just wanted to talk about his little sister.  I hope he keeps this wonder for her and she continues to look at him in amazement.  It is a true blessing to be able to witness this bonding between my babes.  Thank you, Lord, for all that you have given us!

Rolling Over & Sitting Up

Mary Kate has finally decided to roll over.  We thought she would never do it!  I know you aren't suppose to compare your children . . they are all different . . . blah blah blah, but Max rolled over at 3.5 months and Mary Kate was going on six months.  So on July 13th at 5.5 months she started moving and rolling. It takes her a little bit in the video, so cheer her on and she won't disappoint you!

Back tracking a little bit, she started sitting up while we were in Myrtle Beach.  If you saw any of the beach pictures you can she her little tripod pose as she leaned over in the sand.  So we marked it down as July 8th at 5.5 months as her sit up moment.  Now she sits up freely and plays, giggles, motorboats, and sings "aaa yaaa yaaa".  She is even now started to push herself backwards once she falls over on her belly.  She has scooted all the way across the Kelley's living room in this backwards fashion.  Awww, growing so fast.

9th Anniversary

Happy 9 Years Baby!!
We have changed over the years, but the sparkle in your eyes is as bright as ever, and my love for you is even stronger!

Eating Green Beans

July 8th, 2010
Today mKate started eating her baby foods.  We started with green beans, you can tell by her face that they were Gerber Beans not Mommy's Beans.  They even smelled like can beans not home canned beans.  Least to say, she spit them back at me for days!

Beach Pics

Yes, We did dorky family photos while at the beach, but I don't care because I love them!  And we all looked so cute going out to eat dinner in our white tops and blue jeans.  These are some of my favs!

Myrtle Beach Trip

Our annual Destin, FL trip was replaced this year with a trip to the east coast.  Due to the chance of oil conditions in the Gulf and our group containing a preggo and two babes we went to South Carolina.  It was a long (14.5 hrs) drive but worth it in many ways.  We had lots of FFM (Fun Family Moments) and new memories in a new location.
