Micah's First Birthday

May 31, 2013

Today we were excited to celebrate the caboose of the Cooper Family.  Little Miss Micah turned ONE!  We all enjoyed a cookout and birthday cake at the Cooper's house.  The kids loved running and playing all afternoon in the yard.  Micah was super sweet as she tasted and licked the icing off her chubby little fingers.  We are so blessed to have her in our lives!

Kindergarten Graduation

May 29, 2013

Wow!  The time has come, Kindergarten is over.  Sad moment for this Mommy.  Where has the time gone?  As a dear friend once told me,. if they don't grow up then something is unhealthy and wrong with them.  That statement is true and I am so thankful he is a healthy growing boy, but does it have to happen so fast!?  We have had an excellent year in Kindergarten.  We were blessed with a wonderful teacher that means the world to our family.  I will forever be thankful to how "Mrs. Miller" has shaped Max this year.  But I have to admit, that I am glad she can return to our friend, Ms. Shannon, and not our teacher.  Good-bye Kindergarten, look out First Grade!

Memorial Day BBQ

May 25, 2013
Big Daddy's BBQ was another success this year.  We had a smaller number in attendance, but it was still loads of fun.  The BBQ weekend has become one of my family's favorite weekends of the year.  The kids have learned to expect days full of backyard playtime at Bebe's House.  They play in the treehouse, on the swingset, ride the many battery powered cars, and stomp in the creek.  Then the days are topped off with delicious food off the BBQ Pit.  This year the pregnancy announcement tradition was kept up by Jon and Josie.  For the fourth year in a row someone has told the big news at the BBQ.  Mary Kate, Logan, Charlotte, and this year Baby Jace's expected arrivals were all announced to the family on Memorial day weekend.  Our January has gotten very full with birthdays.  I believe we need a family truce of abstinence the month of April so that we don't produce anymore January birthdays.  Hahaha.  Just Kidding!

Beach Day

May 24, 2013

The last weeks of school were full of activities.  I got to spend lots of time with Max and all his classmates.  I love to see them all interact and play together.  Today they had a Beach Day as a reward for the huge Penny Drive they held earlier in the year.  Max's class was actually the top class with amount of money turned in.  Once the other classes found out their amounts, they got bombed with other classes money from the turn in.  Being kindergarteners they really didn't understand that part of the Penny War, but they did know they had brought in the most money.  Beach Day was full of outside activities like cageball, playground time, and popsicles.  They also got to spend part of the day on a giant waterslide.  The kids were fun to watch as they came down the slide and then off into the mud.  It was a great day with lots of memories.

T Ball

May 24, 2013

Max is loving another season t-ball this spring.  The team is having another successful winning season.  If they keep up the good work they will be undefeated once again.  The kids are getting much better at knowing what to do in the field and running the bases.

Class Birthday Party

May 21, 2013

This afternoon we celebrated the summer birthdays in Max's class.  We honored Nate and Claire who will turn 6 and Bobby and Max who will turn 7 over the summer break.  The kids enjoyed some tasty cupcakes, fruit, chips, and juice.

Chickadee Family

This spring we got the opportunity to watch a family of birds from our kitchen.  Big Daddy gave me this awesome birdhouse with plexiglass back for Christmas.  It has suction cups on it to attach it to a window.  We put it up in late winter and waited on the birds to find it.  I happened to be home the day they started house shopping for the spring.  At that moment I got really excited and decided to document it with pictures throughout the season.  I hope you enjoy the pictures as much as we have loved watching the birds build a house and then a family.
