Kelley Gatlinburg Trip

November 13-16, 2014

This weekend we ventured to Gatlinburg with Jay's parents and sister's family.  We rented a cabin and spent the weekend shopping and playing around the towns.  It was nice to get away from the hustle of life and reconnect with one another.  It was also great to put a dent in our Christmas shopping before we are caught up in the middle of the season.

One night we opted to try out the newly built Mountain Coaster.  It was freezing cold as we waited our turn to ride the mountain.  The ride took you up a track to the mountain top.  At the top your cart was released to zoom and circle down the mountain side.  We all had a blast and hope to do it on another trip when its a bit warmer.

While walking in Gatlinburg we found a really pretty spot by the creek for a little photo op.

A new addition to the Gatlinburg strip are the moonshine and whiskey distilleries.  We had our moment while visiting and sampling each of their creations.  It was all fun and games until it hit and you realized you hadn't eaten in hours!  Then we were quick to head to Bennett's BBQ to fill up on food and BREAD!

Another new adventure on this trip was our family photo session.  We took the kids to one of the western dress up stores and had fun getting dolled up and posing for pictures.
