More Swimming

April 28, 2014

M&M have had a good spring of swim class.  Max is perfecting his strokes.  He is learning how to glide streamline through the water.  I think his hard work will really pay off when triathlon season begins this year.  MaryKate has come a long way this spring.  She can jump from the side and "swim" out to the platform.  She is also learning to float on her back.  She is ready for a summer in Pawpaw's pool.

Spring Baseball

April 2014

Max really enjoyed his spring baseball season.  He is beginning to get the hang of batting, fielding, and the art of baseball.  It is fun to watch him as it all clicks and he develops a passion for the sport.

Max Acheivements

April 20, 2014

We are really proud of Max with his spring semester.  He is studying and working hard at school and has kept up his grades.  After the 3rd nine weeks he remains on the Straight A Honor Roll.  Recently, he was chosen from his class for Shining Star Award.  With this award he got the opportunity of placing his hand print on the wall near the office.  He was excited about this because it has been a goal since he started school.  Also this spring, Max has been faithful with his tithing.  He does this on his own and gives a portion of his allowance each Sunday.  We are excited that he is growing in his Christian life and following the principles he is learning.  This faithfulness was noticed by one of our Pastors.  He took time and wrote Max a letter thanking him for his obedience.  I am thankful for him sending Max the note because it helps solidify what they are being taught.  We are excited to see where life takes our little boy.  Hopefully we are planting seeds that will last a lifetime.

Kelley Easter

April 20, 2014

Kelley Easter was a hit again this year.  It was warm enough (kind of) to let the kids swim at Grandma and Pawpaw's pool.  Then they raced around the yard collecting eggs filled with goodies.  All eight of them were happy to find goodies and money inside the eggs.

Sawyer's Birthday

April 19, 2014

Disney's Frozen was the theme of Sawyer's 4th Birthday  Party.  Amanda did a great job on all the decorations .  She worked really hard to get everything to coincide with the movie.  The biggest part of the party was the appearance of the sisters, Elsa and Anna.  The kids loved interacting and playing with them.  Elsa and Anna did a great job reading, painting faces, dancing, and talking to the kids.  Sawyer was adorable with her excitement about her party.  She has waited for months for them to come to her house.  I think they lived up to all her expectations.  Little girls are so much FUN!

K&T's Birthday

April 19. 2014

Our niece Kayla and nephew Tristan chose to have a day at the zoo for their birthdays.  It's hard to believe they are 9 and 11 this year.

Parsons Easter

April 19, 2014

Parsons Easter this year consisted of two days of family fun.  We spent the day at Dragonfly Farm with all the Big Parsons Bunch.  It was a day of running around of the farm.  Mary Kate and Charlotte loved riding the power wheel.  Max took his friend Baylor and they spend the day shooting guns with Jay and all the guys.  Big Daddy and Uncle Tony oversaw all the activities from the gator as they rode around the farm.

Our second day of festivities was at Bebe and Big Daddy's house for lunch and an egg hunt.  The kids were thrilled to run around the yard collecting the eggs filled with money.  Of course, Uncle Jon won with collecting the most money in his allotted twelve eggs.

House Disaster

April 7, 2014

We came back from the beach on Sunday and I had taken Monday off work to get everything unpacked and straightened.  My day turned out very differently.  As I walked down the hall that morning I stepped in water.  I took another step and hit water.  I first reflex was to yell at Molly our dog.  Next I looked at my feet and saw the wet stream coming from the living room.  As I rounded the corner I was the culprit.  Our 150 gallon fish tank had popped a line off the filter and emptied into our floor.  I immediately grapped the phone and told Jay to come quick and bring lots of equipment.  I so glad he works at Servpro because we were facing a water damage of our very own.  The next several weeks turned out to be a mess.  We had to rip up all our carpet, tear out the bottom half of the wall that the aquarium was against, remove and replace insulation, and various other things.  It was not fun to live through, but the result was the upgrades that we have been planning to do. I love the outcome of the disaster, but it was a real pain and stressor to live through for three weeks as we prepared for our first Disney trip.
